hammers tinderboxes and daggers go free one per customer when you trade. if you don't have anything to trade just clicking into the trade menu gives you the option of getting the free stuff, in the top left hand corner of the trade window.

I sold my crayfish cage and net to the general store for 60 coins and they were freeeeee!

Yes but I think you have to go an do something else before you cna enter the store again and get more stuff. But I am not sure the minimum distance or time limit.

I have come back from questing and sold that same free stuff back to them and take the free stuff again! Next time i am going to just sel t back when i get it

I am glad runescape does this kind of thing to help newbs get some starting gold, without this the road to high gp is very very long. You need to high skill level and have to know where to go to get high gp in runescape

Free stuff right off of tutorial island can help you save up for your initial equipment. Try to save enough to buy an iron weapon and if you have more, buy iron armor. These are the highest you can wear at the start.
